Hello, I am Cherissa MacNeil,End-of-Life Doula.

If you are scared of death and dying you are not alone. Death can be a challenging time, but it can also be beautiful. I am honoured to have learned so much from the people that I have worked with during their dying journey. They have taught me that love transcends the barrier between life and death. They have taught me to see the Grace in the end of life and the importance of giving ourselves Grace during the many challenges we will face in life and in death.
Although the end-of-life journey can be challenging and heavy, I believe it is made lighter when you have someone to walk alongside you. My goal as an end-of-life doula is to support individuals facing death and dying as well as individuals facing loss and grieving; to make their way lighter.
As an end-of-life doula, I work with you and for you. Together we will identify what your needs are. I will work to ensure that you are at the centre of your journey and that you live until the very moment that you die.
​I am a registered member of the End of Life Doula Association of Canada.
I adhere to the association's Code of Ethics and Standard of Practice.​​​​​

Services
Advanced Care Planning
Through an ongoing exploration of your values, wishes and beliefs; together we will create care plans and prepare documents to support you on your end-of-life journey.
Companioning
Support for those who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness or are otherwise facing death and dying.
I offer compassionate emotional support as we work toward normalizing your experiences. I also offer practical support during this journey. This will look different for each person depending on your needs which we will identify together.
Bereavement Support
Support for those who are navigating a significant loss in their lives.Together, we will gently work towards relieving your heart of some of the weight of your grief.
